How many tigs have you gone through?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nah...The tap is pretty constant in the neutral range. It's the buffering capacity. My water here crashes hard for no apparent reason although my setup has been pretty stable since I added a boatload of crushed coral....Last tig I lost was about a year ago, but I've been a little bit gunshy to try another one. Maybe one day, haha.

EDIT:

To add, it wasn't the bio load that caused the ph dips either. The tigs I had all were kept separately in a growout tank. Everything would be fine, then BAM....belly up the next day.

LOL....I have a green thumb when it comes to rays :P.

Deathcurl - have you tried a KDF/carbon filter to filter all the crap from your tap water?

I live in Spain now and the water here is terrible, if you drink it from the tap all you can taste is metal and chlorine. My fish were not doing great, so i got one of those filters. M|L has something similar too.

They are damn good, a few months of heavy water changes on a 190 and a 60 and still no trace of chlorine or metals.

still working one getting one, one day....
