How many times a day do yo feed your fish and how much do you feed them?

I ask this because it seems that im not giving them enough food and they dont seem to grow, i have 2 Oscars and 2 Trimacs and I feed them twice a day.
I have heard stories of Oscars and Trimacs growing realy fast but my oscars dont go over the 6" and my Trimacs are arround 4" and 5", both couples have paired up but there are no eggs yet :irked:
do you think twice a day is enough? what do you recomend me?

recently i have started to do water changes at least 50% every week and i feed them mostly with comercial pelets but also with shrimp and sometimes with night crawlers but only the Oscars eat shrimp and night crawlers the Trimacs dont seem to be interested in them and when they are the Oscars are faster and they get all of them

Water quality is an important factor in growth. How often are you doing water changes?

What food are you feeding?

Damn you! Lol! You beat me to the water quality suggestion. :)

I personally feed small growouts 3 times a day and anything 4 inches and over get fed 2 times a day. Though if your having problems with growth there's alot of other reason's a fish might not grow. Personally I see the best growth in my fish with frequent water changes. When I'm feeling really dedicated and trying to growout some small fish I feed 4 times a day only how much they'll eat in like 4 seconds max and I do about a 45% water change every other day. I'm anal like that though. lol! Seriously though check your water parameters and make sure to keep them in a appropiate sized tank and start planning on seperating them soon, as those Trimacs will more than likely kill the Oscars as they grow. When it comes to fishkeeping seriously alot of times a bit of over attention to detail works wonders. It's part of the fun though, the challenge of checking everything and making sure everything is perfect. To see that your attention to detail pays off in an amazing and striking adult that got that way not just because of genetics, but because you took such awesome care of them.
