How many times you feed dat?!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've been told that it is better to feed once a day or once every two days.
So that the dats won't become "lazy" and also helps promote stableness!

But just wasn't sure so i'm asking you guys how many times you feed!

I highly doubt it would affect stability. I feed mine 3x a day

Hi guys, I have a 12'' Indo that stays stable 24/7, eats nothing but pellets freeze dried krill, and anything else non live i throw in there, i feed him every other day most of the time, i also have another 12''er in a tank that has always gotten feeders, pretty much everyday; and hes black 80% of the time. i think it could have something to do with stability, but i find my indos and more stable and personable if fed every other or every 2 days

I have 6 thinbars and 4 Indos. Sizes range from 4-13 inch

What I do. I throw pellets in about 6-7 pm. Then between 10-12pm I do a second feed, so the fij that missed out on the first feed get a chance to eat. Those that miss food , tough luck, will have to wait till next dayfeed.
Usually I starve 1 day a week only.

Once a week I mix prawns with pellets as treat.
All but 1 tiger eat pellets (I mix the following in tub for maximum nutrition): hikarii massivore, carnivore, cichlid gold and crushed algae wafer.

Try not to overfeed or powerfeed as u won't do this to otter animals. When tiger is very full up they will rest at corner of tank and not move : just sit there and digest. Does it mean more unstable, No stableness is 50/50 with Indo.
The more hungry tiger is the more active it is and it will display and interact more with other tigers, therfore- will often make them more stable.

It can often take a while , usually 6 months to 1 year for a tiger to be
Comfortable, active and displaying in you're tank.
