So I've decided to do a smaller tank as a community tank and have settled on my empty 20 long. I want it to be planted with low needs plants and have an amazonian theme to it.

Here are the fish id like to incorperate but not sure how many I could do and keep it perfectly stocked.

blue rams
Cardinal tetras
rummy nose tetras
some form of cory (what would be good?)
and maybe a few marbled or silver hatchets

What would be a good stocking list for such a tank?

Id like to do a little over filtering with maybe a ac 110 or fluval 203.

Any help would be great and I'm open to other suggestions for inhabitants as well.

Thanks all!

Sounds fun. I would do a pair of rams or appistos, 6-8 rummy nose and 3 or so hatchets. If you must have corys get Sterbai's maybe 3 or so. IMO they are the best corys:)

An AquaClear 110 would be too large a filter for a 20 long (too much current). Even a AC70 would be pushing it. Go with a AC50 or AC30. The above fish stocking suggestion sounds about right.

I have an aqua clear 150 on mine, its 20-30 gallons hook on the back filter.
I'm growing out an electric catfish in mine so I can't really help you a lot on the stock but what you have planned sounds good,
thought of kribensis cichlids or any small gourami?

The AC 110 would be WAYYYY too much. I have a 100 long with a AC 110 and it moves my sand under the filter alot!

I have an ac110 on my 55 and I still don't feel its enough for the tank, I haven't had a smaller tank in a while so I always have everything huge. Ill do a ac50.

Anyone else care to comment on the stock?
