How MFK changed your life...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had a 20 and a 46 when I joined, and about 6 fish, now I have 12 tanks that combine to make over 700 gallons and more fish than I care to try to list. BUT the biggest thing is that I've learned how to take care of fish. I took a part time job at a LFS and now I am able to spread what I've learned here and recruit new members to the site. I have met new friends and fellow MFKer's in person. I love this site, it's the only forum I've ever belonged to.

+1

MFK keeps me dreaming though. MFK while didn't introduce me to fishkeeping definately kept me interested by showing me this hobby isn't 1 dimensional and there are many fish and many different ways to keep them.. And that it can be an exciting hobby.

Monsterfish? Working on it:grinno:.

Really It's mostly right now just learning about new fish everyday and the fact that this site gets a large chunk of my day to day life.

MFK should have a disclaimer for new users who sign up states that it can be addicted and can build up a huge bill! =]

Introduced me to "vendors" that put anything in Dr. Axlerods encyclopedia at my fingertips.....provided the bank account backed it. But more than that this place gave me the ability to quit DB Drag.....the previous VERY expensive life consuming hobby.....without fish I'de still be trying to best the europeans, staying up for days at a time hoping that when I cut loose 60,000 watts from a steel framed enclosure housing only 2 subs that the urethane on the windshield holds and the roof braces don't tear anymore than they allready are......and if it worked it was time to pack it up and drive a state or 2 away to the next show....... ahhh the memories.....
