Use 1 lb per 100 gallon for everyday use and up it to 3 lb per 100 gallon when trying to treat for ailments. I use pickling salt, $1.26 for a 4 lb box.

Not true can go as high as .45% salt and not worry.

At what rate does the salt combine to make other materials. I understand if I take out 200 gallons I can add six pounds of salt. but of the 800 gallons left over how much salt can I add to the water that previously had salt added?
