How much are tanks really cost?

Believe it or not, where I live most of the 55 gallons are priced at 300-600 bucks. Guess what they don't sell haha (nomrally)

I picked up two 55 with everything need (filters, substrate, heaters, stands,etc) and delivery for $150

Petsmart sells 75 gallons for $230 and the stand is $160.

i say go for petsmart. Afterall you can sell the tank when u r done with it.

That's an average price for a NEW 55 gallon with a wood stand, with filter/lights/top included.

If you're not opposed to buying a USED one, I'd look on Craigslist.com first. I bought a 55 gallon with metal stand, lights/top/90 lbs of gravel for $100.

That doesn't include a stand.

No you need a foot print of 5'x1.5' or bigger to breed flowerhorns correctly
