How much did you spend for fish keeping?

my 30g and 50 hex were both free, my 10g was 6$ from walmart, 55g was 40$, my 125g was 245$ (with stand and hood)
lighting for all tanks: 60$
substrate: 20$
decorations/driftwood/plants: 100$ all tanks
hob filters: 10g 10$, 20g 15$, 60g 35$
canisters: magnum 350 free, self designed submerisbles 5$ for media
sump: 20$ for media
pumps: hydor l35 50$ back in 2002, ca 800 20$
fish? dunno maybe 100$ total for all tanks.
so for indoor that's 731$ for a 10g, a 30g, a 50g hex, a 55g, and a 125g. not bad.

liner and sub tarp: 100$
filter boxes: 40$
filter media: 60$
waterfall: free
plants (in water): 30$
plants (around the edge) 50$
pumps: 100$
uv: 50$
tubing/pvc: 50$
fish: 75$
above ground intex for quarantine or pond draining: 50$
so 605$ so far on the pond. it's 4800g.
alltogether 1336$ on fishes. less than a platform upgrade to my primary machine.

Just on the 3 tanks that i have running at this time.. and not counting the money i have spent/will spend on the 300 ply build im well into thousands of $$ ... but i think the ply build has been suspended till next summer and the fish are coming together for the 150 gal .. so this winter will be a little break from spending so much on the fishes . but then when next year comes around .. im sure i will be right back at it...
im just scared to see what will happen when i get a house and start the fish room and really start spending the $$$ .. i might have to start some side jobs to pay for this addiction ... maybe i will pick up fish from snook and grow them out and re sell

I spent more on my RTC this year than on my dog and three cats combined, including vet bills, two are on medication, and two need special food... I'd say my pond cost, after everything, about $5 a gallon. I haven't really spent much on fish, but I get a lot of free fish and aquariums and stuff off of CL. Soon, I'm going to have a fishy yard sale and try to make my money back on some supplies and tanks. Should be fun!
