Not that important but if you're going to spend money on nice fish you might as well invest in a UV Sterilizer as an insurance policy. A UV will make sure the water is clear of microscopic parasites & bacterias you cannot see with your eyes. Beware of el cheapo UV units if you do get one. Ever since I got a UV running I do not have unexplain bichir deaths.

I plan on getting a good one when I get one im calling LFS to see availability and researching better UV sterilizers I can shell out 200 if the machine is worth it

Went with the coral life turbo twist 6X18 I am gonna push water at 230 GPH through it for a thorough murdering of parasites.

Damn, did you try seeing if like Capital Aquariums or some other local shop could order you one? Beats driving to San Ho, imo.
