How much experience and knowledge do you have in fish keeping

30 years experience. Started off with mollies, tetra's etc. Owned and operated a full line pet shop for several years in the late 80's-early 90's specializing in south american cichlids. Have been a koi dealer for the last 15 years.

I hear there's insane money in koi, but haven't ever had a pond to get into em'.

I recall going to a Doctor's house a while back and discussing his pond with him while I was there, he pointed out a few blue colored koi he said were worth tens of thousands?

I didn't believe it!

started freshwater six years ago, i was eleven. then the hobby took a backseat to diving and [underwater] photography. three years ago i got back in, but salty (:
rarely looked back since. i only have one freshwater setup now [pond] and if i could salt it up i could. haha.

love to see some of your underwater photos..did you ever post any on MFK?
 
haha. i was -am still- a kid, dont have a decent camera. i did rent a nikon F80 when i was shooting/diving, but dont have a scanner, nor any good shots to show off. (: i'm saving up for a D80 and housing though. someday.
