They should be fine.....that's a lot of filtration going on in your tank!

As to water flow, they should be fine and actually enjoy the current. In my 75 TruVu long, I have an AC901 coupled to a sponge filter and the guys love to swim against current!

Lol, I went a little overboard with filtration when I first set up my tank. But my fish are healthy and my water is crystal clear so it worked out fine.

I realize their natural waters move very slowly but I have my 90 malawi with excellent filtration (About 800-1000 GPH) They don't seem too stressed but I wonder if they might like less water movement? Theres also a 3" bubble disk I could dispose of if need be.
what i notes with my malawi's was they were loosing weight so you might have to feed them more.... i changed back to normal they way they liked.

Oh I see. Quick question then how big was the tank and what was the filtration? I Got a 90 tall 48X18 and its got an AC110 a Top fin 60 (300 gph media bags stuffed with purigen) an eheim 2215 and a fluval 405. Also a 100 GPH UV soon to be 200 gph with 2- 2lf reactors one for matrix carbon and one for purigen and ill move the topfin 60 to another tank. A bit much you think?

LOL I am dropping the top fin 60 once I get the reactors. Also I got a 3" bubble disk running a ton of air should I remove that? Think I should really remove anything else?

You dont need the bubble disk as long as the surface agitation is adequate.
