I am getting six one inch rbps for my 75g tank. I was wondering how much flow is recommended for them. I have two maxijet 1200s in there right now, is this enough flow or is more needed?

Also another question, I have an eheim canister filter on the tank right now that is rated for a tank up to 190g. Is this enough filtration or not?

Thanks
E

piranha don't do well with powerheads... I don't know where you heard that they do... when piranha are of that size.. they live in small slow moving pools and lagoons...if you still want powerheads in the future wait until they are large enough first!

power heads will be more suitible in the future... but u could still have one now just turn down thre flow or if u cant on urmodel then just buy a smaller model cose water flow is good and even in the wild there is still some current not much where they grow up but still there is some

yep baby P's live in relatively stagnant/still water. The flow from the eheim will be sufficient, with no powerhead.

When they are bigger add a powerhead.

ya i guess i should restate my self everyone else in kinda contradicting me lol... add a powerhead later..... and make sure its not to much flow right away
