i never took the time to read that but the fish you described goes best with black back. Fade fhs intensify their color and/or contrasts great with black back


btw. The black background theory in that post. It is not all true.

My fh does not darken with black bg. They darken when your water is cold. Take good care of your fh, have it adapt, and it will shine no matter the background. Background makes a difference in contrasting with the fish for your viewing pleasure. But Just let your fh adapt. When they get scared they wanna camo with the bg that's why.
