If you have the tank and capacity to take care of it, buy it. Mine was smaller when I bought it and it cost $65 about 8 years ago, so I guessed I really paid out the ***$. But anyway, he was totally worth it. He is now gigantic and mean and could take my arm off. He is 3 feet long and extremely thick. I don't even feed him that much, it's weird. But if you like huge ugly fish, get it. But understand, he will take your finger off if he wants to.
If you want it buy it. I paid £48 for mine when he was only a baby at 10".
