Now that my friend is well worth a $2000 mortgage. Around here you'll be lucky to get a tiny 2 family house, with no garage, and a few feet to call a backyard for that price.

Yes, we do have a pretty nice thing going on. :headbang2

We originally paid $115,000 for the acreage with the two old houses. That was about nine years ago, seven years ago we built the house (I said 2001, but it was actually 2003). The barn I built myself over the course of two summers.

A couple refinances later (one to pay for the new house, the other to pay for the barn) and we are up to $2000/month...:irked: Still, I wouldn't trade it for a house in town at half the cost!

I attached a few photos from around the place. :D

houses are kinda cheap around here(no body wants to live in the hood)my real estate agent has a 1 bedroom apartment for sale right now for 6 grand.

Wow. Someone shoulda bought that a few months ago and gotten 8 grand back. haha

For me it is $1700 mortgage including tax and insurance for 1800 sq. ft. (2 car garage) house, 1.5 wooded acres in a rural town.

Dan, your property looks amazing. I dream of owning something like that one day. Thanks for sharing the photos.

I have the same basic place as you about an 850sq ft 2bd 1ba, rent is 699 a month and this includes water, cable and internet. I live in orlando fl, 32826

£216 (~$400) every 4 weeks for a 2 bedroom, 1 bath (soon to be walk in shower), large back garden for a UK flat at approx 250 sq/m (shared garden but upstairs lets me have my way with it), approx 70 sq/m front garden and wide drive at approx 15m long (can fit 2 ford focuses next to each other at a push).

$1160 rent
includes all utilities except cable TV and phone
off street parking and building has elevators (7 floors)
1255 Sq. Ft.
Easton, PA

Not bad for Lehigh Valley and is very close to major highways. I work in NJ and the same apartment over there would cost over $2000 a month. Not a new building but ok - size of apartments is great.

Just moved...

I got a 869sqft 1/1 for $746 (includes sewer/trash/pet rent)

I have a huge bathroom, garden tub, huge bedroom, good sized nice full kitchen with microwave (most apts here dont come with that), a good sized living room, dining room (which is now a fish room), built in entertainment center, full size/washer dryer and a nice patio. The great thing is... I still have a lot of space even with all the crap I own... complex also has garages... which I am on a wait list for. I am in New Tampa FL.

I used to be cramped in a 1/1 630sqft, no room, bugs and crappy area for $585/month... in Temple Terrace FL (next to east Tampa boarder)...
