The start up is so high, but this is not a cheap hobby......when you think you got it all you need something else.

I found a great deal on a 20 gal s/w with all supplies, i want to do reef and fish i didnt know a 125 would be so expensive, how much would a 20 gal take for maintance a month?
Sorry for all of the Qs im new to s/w and dont want to get involved in anything i cant afford.

reefs will run almost any budget dry unless you have thousands and thousands in your budget. And i would recommend using the 125 because it would be more stable than a 20 gallon. The smaller the tank the more chance of a total crash with a small mistake. The larger the tank the more forgiveness you have if you make a mistake. All reefs are delicate but bigger ones are less delicate than others, but also exponentially more expensive. I would recommend only fish first, then some easy corals like leathers and then work your way to harder things and as more money becomes available you can get into more expensive things.
