how much sand

Maybe its because I used pool filter sand , but I'm not finding that calculator too accurate. For my 75gal(18"x48") tank I used roughly 70lbs of PFS and that yielded well over 2.5" of substrate depth. Calculator estimated I would need 100lb sand to yield just 2" depth for this tank.

I usually end up around 1/2 pound per gallon for an inch or so.

I used 50 lbs of pool filter sand for my 100 gallon (60in long by 18in deep). Its about an inch high of sand
