How much should I pay?

okay, Ill probably end up building a 2x4 stand. Its a decently sturdy desk but all I have ever put on it was a couple 10 gallons, a frog tank and a leopard gecko tank.

The last tank I bought from craigslist was an old 75g reef setup that a guy had given to him by a co-worker, it came complete, tank, stand, xp3, and a 4ft Wavepoint T5HO fixture for $80 bucks. He didnt have a clue about what he had, he just wanted to get rid of it cause he was moving. I also got a 75g tank and stand from a friend for $50. Some people on craigslist try to get their money back out of their setup but 95% of the time they never sell it, while others just want it moved and are willing to take a hit.

you cannot get 'an idea wat its worth' from CL because
tanks, with stands, are worth about $1.50 a gallon
the reason you don't see a lot of ads at this price is because
THEY SELL

Use craigslist. Just make sure you inspect the tank fully, ask when the last time the tank held water, and when you get the tank home, fill it up outside or in your garage and let it sit for a day or three.

that way you will reduce the odds of getting burned.

If you are positive that you want to avoid CL, alot of petstores will sell tanks for "1 dollar per gallon" but this typically only includes tanks 55g or smaller.

Petco is having the dollar per gallon sale for 10 20 and 40 gals but it ends tomorow, im pretty sure all petcos have it because it is a sale for their anniversary.
