It is very common for people to buy large growing fish and then not be able to house them... therefore they are willing to give away adults...

Oscars are probably the most common fish to have this happen to them...

I would be more concerned with finding them a good home than getting anything in return for them...

I agree. Plus it's extremely hard to sell fish in NY right now for some reason, unless your basically giving them away. I'm having a hard time selling my 10" Endli for $40.
