i am planning on building a fishroom. I can either build a dedicated structure or get a shipping container. Getting a metal shipping container will be a lot easier, but i do not have much room to move a 20' container. I was then thinking that i would get a 10' container. My only question is would it be big enough? I want to have a utility sink and at least 6 40 gallon breeders and a large tank, possibly a 150 tall. I am looking for input on this.

Do you mean putting a steel shipping container outside? You need to seriously take how you are going to insulate into consideration.

Not trying to criticize or tell you what to do, but a couple of days ago I read your thread about how you may be losing interest in the hobby and how you have a tank that hasn't gotten a water change in a long time. What you're talking about with this fish room is a big expensive endeavor that will cost you a lot of time and money. It will also add a substantial amount of maintenance to your routine. For both your sake and your fish's, don't you think that you should take some time to reexamine your involvement in the hobby before this sort of undertaking? Again, I'm not trying to criticize, I'm more trying to save you and your fish from getting yourself into something that you may not want to be into.

I have done that. I was afraid i was losing interest but I was not. I just did not have much time for fishkeeping because the school 2015-16 school year was super stressful. I have been a dedicated fishkeeper since i was in 1st grade and i am not just going to stop now. Yesterday for example i did a water change on my 6 tanks. I was never losing interest in fish. I was afraid i was, but the truth was that i didn't have time and now I do have time.

awesome, glad to hear it. As you know it's an awesome hobby, and really healthy I think, so I'm glad you're still dedicated.

As for the fish room, racks are the key. If you build a good rack you can stack three 40 gallon tanks on top of each other in a normal room. You build a few of those and you have a very efficient use of space. As was said above, insulation will be important. Keep us updated if you go for it, always nice to see a fish room evolve
