how much time do you spend doing a waterchange?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
1 hr for my 90g and 2-3 hours on my 450g which I think is too long due to python not fitting my kitchen faucet...I do them on different days on the weekends so it won't take a toll out of my energy.

70+% wc on both my 90 and 450. For the 90g I connect a 50ft python to the garden hose faucet then refill with conditioned correct temp 5 gallon buckets of tap water. For the 450g I preheat 4 x barrels for 24 hours then I use a 50ft python to siphon substrate and a 25ft python connected to a 600gph pump draining the water both goes to the garden then refill with the pump. I wish I could do a drip system on my 450 but I don't have a drain nor a close enough water source near the tank. Once I move I will definitely set up a drip system.

Hi crazyfish88, I'm new to MFK but I see that you have Rio Tapajo Red Nose. I have 7 in my 125 gal and just love them. Wondered if yours have been breeding at all. Do you have pics? When I am back at my computer I will try to find your tanks.
