how much water is needed 4 one koi?

hope you enjoy your new monster fısh. ı have a koı pond. recently a koı ı have developed a swmbladder ınfectıon, combıned wıth the cold the fısh dıed last nıght so thıs mornıng ı had to fısh out and somehow dıspose of a 28'' 14 year old fısh =P treat yours good and they wıll become monster fısh for you!
 
Stick w/your original plan of 8 X 4. Since you are going to make it out of lumber, above ground, the use of 8' sticks seems like a no-brainer. Like JCardona said, you won't stop at 1 fish. Check out his threads on how his pond grew. At 4X4 I give you a season before you start thinking about a new design. All the ponds I have done the number one complaint from people is that should have gone bigger. Get the 100 gal. preformed notion out of your head, or use that as a bog filter for the pond.

no, not really. 100g is fine as long as its very well filtered.

i think its only 40.

I read that from analysis of her scales, they concluded that she was 225-226 years old (although they weren't particularly reliable sources). That's insane! I wouldn't expect nearly that much out of your average koi at Wal-Mart, though.
