How much would my fish tank be worth? not that im selling (just curious)

So guys I was just wondering how much my fish tank would be worth if i wer to sell it and upgrade to a larger size.
I have a 100 gallon saltwater tank, has been cycled, and has perfect water perems. it also has:
uv sterilizer i paid 130 for
reef octopus protein skimmer i paid 200 for
has a sump with a pump
has 205 lbs of live rock
150 lbs of live sand
has a 165 watt light i paid 100 for
has sailfin tang, carpenter's flasher wrasse, swallowtail angel, blue damsel
a powerhead circulating 1500 gph, two koralia 4's (paid 75 for the two koralia 4's)
some yellow polyps. I know i can get 400 for live rock alone so how much could i get for all of it?
 
Unfortunately tanks and equipment are selling for pennies on the dollar right now. On the equipment, figure half of what you paid. For the tank, you'd be lucky to get half, maybe a third of what you paid if it's excellent shape. Livestock you should be able to sell close to market price.

Of course it all depends on the finding the right buyer.
 
All I can say is... GOOD LUCK!

I have been trying to unload a 75G RR w/stand, pumps sump etc for a fraction of what it is worth for months.

I am about to set it back up because I am not willing to take what the clowns in my area are offering me.
 
no need to wait on upgrade, just keep the old tank and transfer what you need to the new tank and keep the old one around, never know when a spare tank would come in handy. (i keep a 150 in the basement for just that reason) as far as selling it goes you will lose your a55 and thats all there is to it. thats why i say to go ahead and upgrade cause it is cheap to buy a tank and stand on craigslist right now, people are almost giving them away. i got a 120 high with stand, hood, corralife dual metal halide dual compact flourescant 48" light, sump, uv steralizer, chiller, protein skimmer, 4 pumps, 2 power heads, and 124lbs of live rock for $840 (paid 240 for the rock then came back and bought everything else a couple days later for 600)

with this economy your gonna need a miracle...

Somebody has been shopping at Ron's (O.G.). As someone who has lived on both coasts recently, I can tell you that the prices we paid in SD are much lower than elsewhere. Whats odd is when I moved there they were consideralbly higher than where I was coming from. I guess the better part of a decade will do that to you.

I used to pay $2 for 10 gal tanks in Philly (new) and $75 for 55g long. This was up until the 90's.
As this poster mentions, in SD you can generally get tanks for dirt cheap. I picked up a 40b for $40. However in FL, I would have to pay $80+ for that same tank.
