HOW MUCH WOULD YOU PAY FOR A 3 INCH WIDEBAR???

Just to add a little. The ST that i'm refering to used to be found in the Choaphraya basin, in the centre of Thailand. I'm not 100% sure about the Mekong Basin.

Not to sure where the thread is but there was a thread made by someone not that long ago that needed a ID on a dat that a fisherman in thailand or vietnam caught and was trying to sell him for $1500 and it was about 10-12inches i think but anyway it was a ST. So there must be some still out there...just not a big number of them. Maybe someone can find that thread.

it would all depend on many factors
a 3 inch wide bar with nasty stripes is not worth as much as one with perfect 3 stripes on both sides
for me i wouldn't by a wide bar that i didn't like the look just because its a wide bar
i know people who have paid very good money for wide bars that are blind in one eye and don't look that nice just so they can say they have a wide bar
its no big deal to me if its ST or IT if i like the look of the fish i will buy as long as you can tell the difference between ST and IT then you wont get ripped off and disappointed with your buy
how anyone can say ST are much mice than IT i can never understand as to the untrained eye its impossible to tell the difference
everyone says they want 3inch wide bars so buy a 3 bar IT whats the big deal
if 3inch wide bars came up for sale at $2k each it would take a crazy man to pay $2k when you can get the same look of a fish for $60
the hight price for large ST or IT is right as it has taken someone a long time and food to get the tiger to that size
why does everyone want small wide bars is it because they cant home a large wide bar if thats the case then you shouldn't be buying it in the 1st place
a $1500 wide bar is a bargin as it has taken 5-7 years to get to that size

Small dats need lover to T1karmann lol. I have big guys but still would like small STs. But everything else you said i agree with you on. Yeah Ade thats the thread.
