I bought a Movado when I was in 6th grade. The watch is battery operated which is lame. I wouldn't pay more than $250 for the watch. The jeweler tried to sell me a solid gold Breitling for 25k and I told them to shove it. Rolex is lame as well.

I have the Daytona, Submariner, and GMT. Too many people notice my watch when I wear it. One guy grabbed my wrist while I was on the plane and said nice watch. I almost punched him in the face.

I wear my Panerai more often when I go out since people don't know the brand. But 99% of the time, I dont wear any of my watches.

Thats funny to hear, i wear a rolex GMT Master II, but then again, rolex over here are a dime a dozen, so no grabbing here... Infact, people dont even bat an eye at most expensive watches...

But when you catch people wear seriously expensive watches in this town, their watch can easily buy a car, and in some cases a house over in the US...

No offense Homer but could it be that a lot of the watches that people wear there are fakes?.....that is where the counterfeit watches, and other fakes are made as I understand it.

^ yup, there are a lot of fakes for sure, but I would even go as far to say, i think its almost common for a lot of young people over here in their early 20's that are working to often save up and buy a rolex as their first nice watch...

Almost everyone i know seems to own a rolex, and most bought them in their early 20's...

Then again, this town is full of people decked out in the biggest brand names just to goto a supermarket, so shouldnt be too much of a surprise... Not to mention, most people have items like a rolex for incase they ever need quick cash so they can pawn it...

Cool, which grade are you in now?

I only finished high school and never went to college :( . Now I am old at 29 lol.

Nice collection. My cousin is a watch nut he has for sure the Daytona and submariner because he keeps talking about it. I have like 9 nice watches barely ever wear them. Lol

My Daytona would never go down in value. Buying watches from a mainstream jewelry store is such a rip off... Their mark ups are so high that I don't even deal with them. I know some people that can tell me what they buy the watch for at wholesale and I work on a price from there. Submariner was first because it was the cheapest watch out there at the time that I could afford lol.

Yeah, so many people have them that they are nothing special. Almost always I tell people they are fake, but then again I have them under my home owners ins policy lol. Those Patek, audemars, and hublot are no joke though.

I went to nassau bahamas and bought a bretling for 15 quids. It was fun to wear that ;) for sometime. But just like all fine things in life, it lost its bling got wrinkly and chrome started coming off. After a year it was showing its original color.

Funny thing was i didnt even aware of what bretling is :D

Lol, sounds a bit like me...

When people ask me about any brand name i'm wearing, i amost always tell them its fake, unless it was a gift from the brand / designer themselves, then i tell people it was a gift...

lol, reminds me of that first gold ring i had as a kid, turned my finger green, man was i depressed for about 15 minutes.

I'm not really a watch guy, I own one laco pilot watch. It was under 400.
If I were to buy another watch, it would be another simple automatic, not quartz.

Here's my laco.

Love seeing the backside..

My mom has a bunch of movados, some costing an arm and a leg. Why I dunno, so ugly.
