I would definitely do $50 for that fish. GT's are common but there are so many in the hobby that are gaunt with thin, faded orange trim on the fins. That fish has good genes regardless of the tear in his fin.

If I were in your shoes... I would be more concerend with finding it a good home, than a good price tag...


Personally, if I knew someone in my local fish club who wanted to rehome that GT... and I had space... and I was interested... I would offer them what they paid for it and would promise it proper care...

i'd pay $50 for it, full grown gt's with that nice of color are hard to come by. all we have around here are two inchers.

'its every hard in finding him a home at that size and the price of the fish is not how much it worth, but how much people are willing to pay. i would suggest you to give it free or sell it cheapest possible unless you not in a rush. Because very few people would buy a full grown fish.

I would try to find another fish hobby friend first that you know will take care of him more then the money part.

Man if I was a bit closer, I would had jump on it. Cant seem to find a male around here big enough for my female.

we are talking about plus or minus a few bucks....finding a good home for him is a lot more important IMO....fish that size are hard to ship too.
