For 3 sheets of (5/8") acrylic that are 4' x 12'? :O

I've found some locally for pretty cheap. I don't have any sort of room for a 700gallon right now...but down the road...I may have to just buy it up and store it in the garage till we get a bigger place.

Yeah, I think so too. I can get them for the same price as a 4' X 8' sheet of (3/8") from the plastics distributor...

Just need to convince my frugal side. A 12' tank would be epic.

Just got their number and am going to give them a call. From my understanding in general everything over 3/8" thick tends to be cast not extruded so there is a slim to none chance of it being extruded.

Please let us know, as I have never heard that relationship about cell-cast and thickness...interesting!

From talking with the folk at TAP Plastics their head lady was adamant about all Acrylite acrylic being cell cast beyond 3/8". Not sure if it applies inclusively.

I left a message...

So I talked to the lady and the sheets were used as office windows, so they're not new. I have absolutely no idea how to make sure they'd be cell cast vs. extruded and I really wouldn't want to screw up on this size of a project.

There are so many slightly different variants in acrylic, does anyone have any idea what type is used in office windows? Heh.
