How much?

A complete set? There is no fun in that. Its cheaper to build it from the ground up.
A reef ready 210 is gonna run you about $2000. Gravel such as some argonite will run you about $200 for it. Filtration, Well depends on what you want.Lets go hypothetical. 2 canisters: $300 , 2 big power filters: $150, 1 or 2 Proteinskimmers:
either $200 or $400. Undergravel filter: $150 if you get a used one.
2 powerheads: $80, A lot of live rock: $600. Lighting: 2 UV Sterilizers $180, Lights:
$360 if you are going big time.

Your total so far is $4420, and I haven't even gotten to fish. Tell me what kind of fish and inverts you want and I can give you a total price.

why would you put an undergravel filter, cannister filter, 2 power filters, and 2 uv sterilizers on a salt water tank? My reef tank had one skimmer(albiet a 300 dollar skimmer) 400 watt metal halide, and a surge device for all motion. That's pretty much about it. And an overflow and a sump. But I used no powerheads. And I had a tiny little aquaclear that i ran with carbon every once in a while, but that's it.

How big is your tank? Also he said he wanted the complete set of everything so Im givin it to em.

50 gal. with a berlin system i just didn't understand all the extra equipment. but i like things simple and easy. Hence the skimmer, lighting and surge and sump and that's about it.

Thats the perfect system for that. The Berlin method is perfect for a reef, but a fish only tank. It needs supplemental filtration. There was a video on here a while back ago, by The pack. I think he had 2 large adult eels. Some kind of shark I could never figure it out. A huge lion. A huge french angelfish. 2 big puffers. A Harlequin tuskfish, and there were probably others that I don't remember, but all those fish crap ALOT! Especially since the guy was feeding it live goldfish. Thats the kind of tank system that would need that kind of filtration. Now all that for a 210 is probably pushin it, but its better to overfiltrate then not at all.

Actually your setup wouldn't work for a reef tank. Cause as you said in your post, "a reef ready" and it's not reef ready cause there's all sorts of stuff you don't need and probably shouldn't have on a reef tank like an undergravel filter. UV sterilizers are however a mixed subject. On one hand they do kill algae blooms that can and do occur in the aquarium, but they also kill all the breeding copepods and any sort of life that is floating around in your aquarium.
I agree that over filtration on something like that is a good thing, but that just sounds way overkill, but those fish to poop a lot. and in something like a 210 then a serious amount of filtration is neccesary. I think the question was just talking about setting up a regular saltwater tank. not a tank of poop machines. In which case what you suggested would probably work well but in a regular salt water tank with some regular fish I think is a bit overkill and a waste of money. but if you got the money to burn then go for it. Or instead of undergravel filters, which are just detritus traps, and paying for power filters and canisters, you could just do an overflow box with a wet dry. Cheaper, easier to maintain and WAY simpler.
Do you have a link to that video? cause that sounds pretty sweet. I'd really like to see that tank.

Just tried to look it up its on the 5th or 6th page of this forum. The link has closed for some reason and I havent seen the guy here for some time. It was basically him taking about 10 or so nice size goldfish, and throwing them in. It was pretty much a free for all after that.

damn, oh well, thanks for lookin

By complete set I mean, filter, tank, canister, sump.. etc... and I don't want an undergravel filter too much trouble for me... anyways I'm thinking about getting

Clown fish(of course)
yellow tang(my 2nd fav)
Surgeon
Shrimps
Starfish(for cleanup)
snails
angels
purple tang(I don't think they would go good with the surgeons clowns etc... but if they will then cool)
neon
and some others
