i was at the lfs today and saw two huge clowns they must have been 12+

$600 you say that is a killing for a fish someone just dropped off. the fins are tatered a little and they are not perfect specimens. would you still say $600?
If the loaches IMO were not beat up to the point where it was life threatening, then yes I will still drop the $600 on em. Tatered fins are easily curable when you properly take care of a fish. I guess I'm just loach crazy to be willing to pay $600 for two loaches, but even though I still see no1 offering me any when I talk $$. 
Two 12 inch loaches are going to command crazy prices as the above poster indicated. I think whatever price you can negotiate with the LFS will be fair as loaches this size are almost unheard of. Good luck.
Please post some pics of those bad boys! Pleeeeease!next time i am up that way maybe Friday. i will try and get some pics the fish were very personable, and one has the spot pattern the other was a saddle. hope they are for sale.

I have driven further than that for fish less than that. If you share where this LFS is, and if they are selling them, then I'll have those bad boys/girls in my tank before Thanksgiving. Give me the number to the LFS and I'll negotiate. I hope they are 12"+ers though.....hopefully doesn't sound too good to be true. So don't disappoint.
