the only reason to even BUY a fish from walmart is simply to SAVE it's life
I would never buy a fish from wal-mart, even to save it's life, because that is telling them to buy more fish.

Most mollies (and all common livebearers for that matter) are very touchy because they've been so hybridized.

Wal-Mart needs to have people with experience in that section. They once told me that a Pacu only grows to 8" and they can live in a 10g tank. Sorry to get off topic, but I went to Wal-Mart the other day looking for a knife. There was a guy helping out another guy, so I waited. The phone rings and he picks up. Now...I don't really know what they were talking about, but I heard, "Yeah...I shot a dog once with that gun. You might even consider getting a bowie. That might do the job." WTF!!! And he continued to talk on the phone and ignore me. Later I heard him say to the guy on the phone that they lost the key to the knife drawer, so I wasted 20 minutes listening to this piece of crap talking about possibly killing animals!
