How often do i switch up the aquascaping?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I change mine once every few weeks - bay snooks dont have teeth.

I do it too my flowers to move their grav back off the front glass, and to laugh at them tail-slapping me.

or just set it up right the first time, and dont further stress out your fish by moving their stuff around all the tine ;)

They're living in an artificial glass/acrylic box, things as subtle as walking in front of a tank or turning a light on and off, not to mention water changes can stress them out.

I find one of my tanks is less stressed after a rearrange than they are after a routine waterchange. But that's where having fish that don't attack or eat dithers comes into play for those species that perhaps may be timid. Tetra kept in large shoals are phased by almost nothing, which in turn relays the message that "the coast is clear" and they'll return to their normal behaviour.

Mixing things up, especially with breeding species is often beneficial for tank mates and stress levels, too.
