How often do you buy new fish?

I usually get pick up new fishes couple times a year unless i have a loss or gave one of my fishes away. Or if I see a fish I really want I'll just go and get it.
 
haven't bought a new fish sense last fall. I'll be buying a handful next month to fill in the space left by 4 Johanni left dead by a battle royal in my tank a few weeks ago.
 
I have added some new fish just with in the past 6 months trying to find the perfect fit of occupants in my 120g. These guys will then get moved into my 210g that I'm in the process of setting up. Otherwise I buy my fish with the intent to raise them until they grow old and I dont add new fish to the mix.
 
I have a bunch of fish already, but I like to check out the Buy/Sell forum here on MFK regularly and sometimes the deals are too hard to pass up. I do like other people and sell some fish if things get too crowded or I buy another tank. I got into bichirs awhile back and the new bichir addiction made me buy another tank for them.

I try to avoid buying new fish at all these days. I do not want my aquariums to be like a money pit. So far, this year, I bought a total of no fish :) but my friends gave me some free fishes.
 
It seems to me every 2-4 weeks I have some new fish, but thats just me perfecting my stocklist as my tank comes to life. I mull over my ideas see what I like, see whats new in stock and so on. Im at the point in my stocking where im just waiting for a specific few fish to show up so I can finish. All I have left is somewhat rare fish that come in on occassion. I mean Im waiting on a farlowella twig catfish, espei rasaboras, gold rams, and the next discus order lol.
 
when there is a rare and nice fish on the market, then I will go and buy
