how often do you change your entire tank set-up

every month or so, i keep getting new fish, or decide to experiment with one of the tanks, currently waiting on an order of black sand and a black background to see if this will have any visual impact on my jewels colour....
but since i got them from the store they've coloured up alot and are eating my out of house and home.
 
I haven't messed with any of mine in about 18 months, figure if things are working why change.
 
I think we should make the difference between re-arrange and completely changing stock known. Seems some may have taken the question in different ways.

I re-arrange my tanks every month or so, sometimes less, sometimes more..if territories need to be made, things get moved, etc

I try to not re-home any fish I have taken on, unless a much better opportunity is there, a larger tank, etc.
 
I use to do it every 6 months or so fish included. Now I finally found the fish I want and have left it be. I only have gravel and 2 large pieces of driftwood in my tank. (80 gallons). This is the only thing my large L-114 pleco can't move around or destroy to his likeing. LOL
 
I change mine every 5 to 6 months cause thats the time when i get bored. And after rearranging things here and there. Taking things out and putting new things in. Then back to the addiction of starring endless amount of time at the tank and trying to find any reason to buy new thing. Right now i have central american so im just enjoying their growth and transformation. But my hundred gal stock have changed twice this years and now im just going for a ram community.
 
not much, the oscar side of the tank has just 2 statues type thing that holds the divider and 2 smaller toys for the livebearer frys to hide in ( and my canister that they like to ) and the pair of cons they got all the decs on there side...
