yup.. i'm making the fishes grow fast and really fast. they have improved a 30-50% increase in size in just as little as 2 months. specially the 4 exotic fish i have in my 60 gal tank (can't spell the name). :D i don't check my water parameters anymore since it has two aqua 50 powerhead, UGF, 2 Airstones Rena 400 Air Pump and an xp3. i don't need to check on it. my bichirs on the 10 gal are also growing fast. but since they are in the 10 gal i think it doesn't have as much potential to grow as the one's in the 60 gal.:D

Intresting. I might have to start doing that.

I never check ph or anything in my tanks. I have not had a fish die in probably 6 or 7 years. I must be lucky with the water around here. knock on wood....

I am changing about 800 gallons a week in my tanks, sometimes more, sometimes less depending on my mood. I hear about people feeding alot and some not so much, very different regimens.

When I had my rays, they got fed everyday.

With my new mbu puffer he gets fed everday, but as he gets bigger it will decrease to every couple a days. When he is an adult, it probably only be about 3 times a week.

Smaller fish twice daily.

Bigger fish once daily in winter...other seasons 2 small feedings daily.

Old thread but what the HELL! I feed till satiated every other day, no uneaten food left in tank, water change every Saturday 30%. Fish are opportunistic feeders, just because they are eating doesnt mean they are consuming. Excessive waste build up due to potentially overfeeding. In a controlled environment fish use little energy maintaining biological process. Don't support weight and provided optimal temperature along with free meals. You can easily manipulate growth potential by simply providing optimal living conditions. Best of luck with your fish!
