how often do you feed your RTC?

once a day 4 me, it will be hard for me to feed him every second day coz when I feed the other fish in the tank (silver aro and cichlas) he mops up the mess that hits the bottom!!

for those of you who feed them shrimp, do you shell the shrimp first? i dont because i figure they eat it in the wild and can handle it but i dont know if this is good for them. also, how much does food cost you a week for these fish?

i dont remove shell for RTC. For aros yes, not for RTC ... my RTCs can eat the whole live fresh water prawn - shell, head, pincers and all (i guess they do that in the wild too).

Imo, feed your RTC as often as it would eat. no harm if he continues to eat - give him. All you can eat buffet ^^
