I do it probably everytime I clean a tank... it drives me nuts I dunno why its like a thing I have I have to change it up everytime I clean it O__o

Try setting up 20+ tanks and you'll get over wanting to reorg your decor.

Agreed. I've been doing this long enough to get over that constant urge. I can't even remember the last tank I had with any type of substrate. I usually arrange some driftwood with java moss and call it good.

I change my tank decor around about every water change. I have been known to change it on the odd days in my african cichlid tank whenever I notice territory disputes that have not settled within 3 or so days also anytime I add new fish I tend to change the location of most of the decor.

I have 2 to 3 ft catfish specimens. My panaque moves 2 60+ pound driftwood pieces around the tank just for something to do. So, I don't redecorate. I leave it all up to the fish.

i keep a couple 40gl bare tanks with flowerhorns so i never have to redecorate those.

in my 110gl and 300gl i have gravel and a couple pieces of driftwood, move the driftwood every couple months or so.

Constantly,at every water change. some of it stays the same, but the plants and grotto get moved around allthe time. i have to stop myself from wanting to completly redecorate the tank all the time with all new substrate, plants, decor ete. i know it will be a never ending thing so i try to just rearrange instead
