where the corruption never ends
Goodevening/morning to everyone, I would like to know how often am I supposed to water change my 100 gal. It's inhabitants are a "16 silver arowana and a 11-12" CK.

I've read alot of posts about frequent water change helps your fish to grow healthy so I want to know how often am I supposed to water change the tank.

Thanks for the answers.

i do 10 percent daily
others 50 percent weekly
really depends on the bioload
time and so on

Got a test kit? If so do a water change when nitrates hit 30-50ppm. May need to do more with that stocklist.

I do 25% WC every 2 weeks. I do this because I have a 35 gal sump which helps me somehow in maintaining the water clean and the only filter in that tank is a submersible pump, but I'm really not sure. It has keep the water clean and fish alive and well without difficulties for grasping for oxygen for 8 months already but I just want to make sure because I want those two to live longer in their best or better condition before I buy a 300 for the 2 of them.

Got a larger tank they'll be going into? That Arow will get very large.

Yeah I'm planning to buy a 300 once the aro gets to 22-25" or so. Can also transfer them into the 3000 gal fish pond in our province if I want to but I believe that it won't be good to look at them in a pond and I won't transfer them to a place far away from me.

I would do a weekly larger wc over a daily small one. I do a 50% wc weekly which keeps my nitrates in check, whatever you need to keep them under 20ppm is what I'd do.

Depends on the test kit, the good ones come with vials for testing and drops. Avoid test strips they aren't as accurate as drops tests. API frestwater test kit is something i've seen recommended several times on mfk.
