How do you age water?

Forget aging, get some Prime and dechlorinate.

how do you get the tap water to the same temp as the water in the tank how do you know?

I do it by feel. Make the water you are adding Slightly warmer than the water in the tank.

I age my water in 64 Gallon Brute Tote trash bins, the one with the wheels and lid. Square shaped ones.. I think round ones would be better. It's aerated and heated and treated with prime 24 hrs before I do my WC. I keep a thermometer in there so I always know what the temps are.
