:screwy:
we are teens not child :D
child:most probably 'mom can we get a new fish? i fed the old one gummies and it fell asleep!'

Teen:'Mom im going out to buy some fish for the tank its just not monster enough':ROFL:

Sorry to burst your bubble, there are adults and children. Teens are the ones who want to refute this. Governments world wide however have 2 ages - those of suffrage those not. Adults and children respectfully.

While seeing that from this poll that 1/3rd of the people are not of the age of suffrage or finished high school there might be some recourse for these actions.

However, I've went to look at used cars and I've seen kids not old enough to drive them try and sell it to me. Maybe its me - but that is something that had me lose all confidence in them.

Secondly, I've often seen people being flamed for their tank setups. So 1 in 3 of those flames were by people who in all likely hood are incapable of buying their own tanks?

[proof of this - in Canada you're required a Social Insurance Number to work. To get this you must be 15. Most jobs only hire 16 year olds anyways. Personally my sister is this age - none of her friends really make anything significantly above the minimum wage. So you work for a summer - 2 months - 9 weeks full time? 9weeks x 5days a week x 8hours a day x 8$ a day = 2880$. On my 125 gal after everything I'm up to around 3 grand so hypothetically it is possible - assuming a teenager doesn't drive, pay for car insurance, or for gas, or lose taxes, or go out with friends.]

I can pretty well remember being early teens on the internet, meeting people like me and with the anonymity of the internet instantly feel offended by their statements of young people being ignorant.

Personally it comes down to experience. It is by far the best measure of a persons proficiency at something. While noobs and young ones may consider this to be false and try to poke holes in this statement. They know that any statements contrary to this are mere exceptions to an undeniable overall rule.

But yeah - seeing the ages makes me question some sources reliability.

Finally, 30+ year olds are just better at explaining themselves then < 20 but thats just my personal perspective

The only sources I really have is every teacher i've ever had has been older then me.

I suppose there exists a child prodigy at electronics that could probably teach me some more stuff on JFETs and MOSFETS and how to use integration to figure out the operating points of dependent sourced circuits. However, most children think themselves to be smarter beyond their years. And let me tell you, one idiot to the next;
to know your dumb is probably the smartest thing you can learn

exact quote i believe is from Alexander Pope's An Essay on Criticism

"A little learning is a dangerous thing; drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring: there shallow draughts intoxicate the brain, and drinking largely sobers us again."
