I just figure what else am i gonna spend my money on and at least this is something i can enjoy for a long time. Hahaha Gonna build a 3500 gall pond in about 2 months for my RTCs and Pacu

Sounds cool. Let me know if you need some help. I'd be willing to make a drive over there and to check out some fish stores in Tampa as well.

if you have the money, why not? I was more concerned about cars and college and rent but now I have a little more disposable income and can afford to get a liiiittle more into the hobby. GL on the build but what are you gonna do when you need your own place?

well as of now im livin with my grandma. Help takin care of her since my grandfather past. And im about to start school here soon so once that starts im putting a hold on any new projects so thats where my money will go. So im gonna be here awhile and i figure by the time i look for my own place I should have a job in Radiology and wont have to worry much about the cost issue

@ pi-eyed = Don't think it's a good idea to 'yank the chain' of a Moderator. Besides, it's ppl like you and ravensfan73, why some us don't bother to post at times. Just FYI, being rude is not appreciated here. Moderators are busy ppl! It's nice that Oddball took the time to post on here. I guess after being here for a few months, I should have figured that rudeness can come from people of any 'age'.

Yanking Oddball's chain about his advanced age is a big part of being a MonsterFishKeeper. If you look under his username you will notice it says "paleoaquarist". This refers to the fact that Oddball has been keeping fish since the stone age.

I have one more year before I get to join the 40+ crowd and I've been keeping fish for over thirty years. I keep a variety of tanks - SA/CA cichlids, monster catfish, community, and a Common Snapping Turtle.
