how old does a leo have to be to breed?

Anyone have experience with breeding their leo's? I feel these animals don't mature until about 10 years. Am I wrong?

if they are saying the males are ready by 2.5 years then yea, their claspers are developed. Those are experienced rays keepers answering the question.

My male and female are the same age. My female was bred by my pearl when she was 1.5 years old. My males claspers where fully developed at the time but he has still not bred and he is about 2.5 years old now.

Properly cared for rays will breed fairly young. Males mature faster then females in my experiance as well. Our rays are fed daily and at least 50% weekly water changes.
