how old is too old for used tanks

Fish tanks are never too old as long a the glass isnt so badly scratced you cant see the fish any more.I have a 20l anda 30 that date back to the 1950s but are still useable.especially if youre willing to reseal tanks they pretty much last forever.
With kids 3 years.... no kids around 25. Seals are the parts that are going to be faulty and they are easily repaired. If they are moved often that might stress the silica, or if the stand they are on isn't secure....
I have a 50 gallon breeder that weighs a ton ! and i bet its over 20 years old

I retired my old 55 gal the one with thick glass and no top brace.
It had a crack along the bottom and was resealed.
It just had so many scratches and had been stored out side
on gravel for to many winters.
