how old is your jag?

just a quick thread for everyone to share

how old is your jag?

and what makes you keep him/her around?

post pics please
 
Roughly 13 inches and he lives with a breeding pair of Dempsey and a firemouth. Lived with my vieja mutt until he and the female Dempsey got annoyed and flayed his tail. He is recovering in quarantine. He is relatively mellow but on occasion would harass the vieja mutt. The flaying was actually my fault had the heater up way high on accident and every one got really active and aggressive. That's been corrected. The jag is the undisputed king and everyone knows it they move when he comes near

my jag is pretty much king in my tank now he outgrew the dempsey by about an inch. he went from being scared of the dempsey to flexin on him.
just hope he doesnt go nuts i didnt feed him for one day and he was takin shots at the others i think if i didnt feed him for 3-4 days i wud hav a big problem.

Interesting I feed the big boys every other day or every three days. I half expect to eat the firemouth eventually. And once they realize there capabilities they dominate lol

I have had my female for 16 months and my male for 12...they were I'm guessing give or take 6 months old when i bought them....I keep them because jags have a very impressive predatory look and pattern to me and the challenge of growing them to the size(14 16 18inch....?).. they can get to in an aquarium...
