Age is always interesting with plecos... just wondering how long some people have had their plecs.

My oldest is 7 years, and still alive- P. joselimaianus.

Hopefully there are some people that will easily smash that- past or present! Lets here them...
 
The fish i had longest was my gibby, who was killed by a blue eye not so long ago. Now i
a royal ive had for 4 yrs is my longest. Oldest is ofc big royal, probably around my age.
 
Longest I had a pleco was 3 years, but I traded them after they got big. Now my Gold Nugget is pushing 3 years, and he's not going anywhere.

We would have to revoke your status as a mod, and a monster fish keeper if you couldn't house a gold nugget wurm.
 
I've only been back in fish keeping for about 3 years, but one of the first fish I bought was a L001 pleco and I still have him. (2 tank upgrades later ;))
I also adopted a Gibby that I know is 5 years old.

Tank upgrade #3 is being planned already :naughty:
