i got to go to a distributer today and they had some awesome stuff, they had silvers, blacks (1/2 doz), jardinis (1 doz), and about 1/2 doz leichardtis!!!! i was amazed, i thought they were RARE rare aros. so how common are they? they were asking 80 wholesale for them. also got to see some rays for the first time, man i was droolin.....

Ummm... $80 is a steal! Im sure they were small, but still a great price.
Ive heard that there are less leichardtis in the US than asian aros. How many people do you know that have them?

no no no they were 80 at wholesale! retail price woulda been like 200 plus, i woulda got some if they were legal in fl. the distributer place ships to other state so they have fish you cannot keep in fl, like rays and other aros

dude if u get a chance to buy a leicharti, do it immediately...there rare as!! and there native ere!!! check out steve's 1, then u'll definately buy it lol

i guess nobody reads all the posts anymore lol

Even at $200, I'd buy all of them. My last one was $350.

This species seems to be a "Winter-available" species. I always see them available from just after Thanksgiving to about the end of February.

The LFS near me has two of them...the owner doesn't display a price, but ask a few questions and you'll find out he wants 300 bucks for one. One of them is 4" in a 35 gallon tank and doesn't grow at all....the other is in a 150 and it's about 12". They were the same size when he first got them.
I thought it was a jardini and he kept telling me how it was a leich. and how very rare they were... I was like, really? you got two of 'em.
