How rare are leichardtis???

HA HA, just as soon as I figure out how to get em past customs its a deal! You can have all the leichardtis you want! Ha Ha
Ill never be able to do it though, customs here are so tight. One of my friends runs a LFS, he broguht in some fish, about 6 of them, they used to be on our allowable import list but because they have been reclassified into a new genus they are now illegal. He is being prosecuted for it. Whats interesting is why can you bring a fish in one minute and then just because its name changes its all of a sudden a threat to native species and becomes illegal? The problem is that our customs have a big list of fish that says No fish of the genus _______ can come in, but the list has not been updated in about 30 years, so as fish get reclassified they become illegal or legal depending on what genus name they are changed to. Most of our customs officers cant tell the difference between common fish anyway. Idiots.

I will be getting one tomorrow. The LFS (Hawaii) is selling them for $299.00 for a 3" fish. A friend of mine works there so I should get a better deal.
