you guys are nuts. Your not supposed to drink absinthe straight. There's a certain way to prepare it. Not exactly sure but it involves heating up sugar on a spoon, forgot the rest.

Yeah. You melt sugar in it and mix it with water. It should then turn milky. Then you're good to go!
ive always bought the cubed sugar for it, dip it in the absynthe, set it on fire on a spoon (there are special apparatus for it but im not that fancy) till it melts and drips in. swirl any undissolved sugar in with it too and away you go. never used water though. i think absynthe has a lot of hype about it but i dont think its as bad as everyone makes out. anyone tried the blue absynthe? thats pretty neat, but i cant find it in this country, got some in the european countries ive been to though

No it's not. It's just illegal to sell. There are many sites online that you can buy from. Some even guarantee delivery to the US. That's how I ordered mine.
absinthe is legal here, not sure if thats the case in every province. havent seen the blue kind though. mmmm wormwood.
