Well, they definitely grow fast that is for sure! I do hate getting rid of him so much, but I know he is going to a good home. The guy taking him is a member over at AC, and actually I think a member here too. So, knowing he has a place to go where someone is going to care for him properly really helps!! I was really getting worried about what I was going to do with him, none of the LFS around here would take him for me.

They are so cute I agree, I think their eyes are one of the most amazing parts of them, they are so unique, almost human like... I just love him!

To slow his metabolism, I no it sounds horrible and I am going to feel terrible not feeding him either...but this is what was recommended to me, for his comfort in shipping. It will slow the met, and make it so his isn't traveling in his own poo the entire way.

Good to see someone really caring and giving away a fish when they know truly that they can't entirely care for all of its needs...I just had to "put down" a albino tiger barb i've had for a little more than a year and it was hard...and yes I used clove oil.

Yes unfortuneately it was something that had to be done though...it was either that or suffer and get pecked to death while it was suffering.

I was wondering if anyone here has heard of oxygen tablets? I was told that I should maybe consider using them to ship the pacu, because of the distance he will be traveling..which is just over 1,000 miles.

Well, just to update...this shipment is put on hold for the time being. The member I was going to send it too, ended up being much younger then I realized and I can not, comfortably send it to him without the parents consent. Fortunately his father is a member here, although to cover my own butt and be sure it is all legit...I am waiting until I can contact him by phone, sorry I just am not a real trusting person in RL.

I am not calling BFK or Doviidude, liars by any means...but until I feel I am completely sure they are father and son, my fish is staying here.

There have been a few inconsistency I feel a little "odd" about in PMs, sorry as I said I am not trying to be mean, or say they are liars...but this is going to cost me a pretty penny to ship him (at my expense) and if I am paying this...I want to be sure everything is right.
