i've heard it so many times..

Put you in the freezer and you'll die slow too. But who in the world can really feel your pain except yourself? Same goes for the fish. Just because research says.. Only if the dead fish comes back from the dead and says it didnt feel anything then I'd believe it. I feel sorry for all the fish that had been put in the freezer. They felt every bit of temperature change and went through the pain of the freezing while heading towards their death. Why not end it instantly?

Well I think that method works better than yours. Who's to say slamming a fish on the ground works the first time? I bet it doesn't. You have to be sure you do it right or the fish will suffer. With the freezing method it is proven that fish metabolism slows down, like lots of animals, and they sleep. How do you think native fish survive under ice? They are alive but really asleep. Temp drops a little more they die in their sleep. Your method is quite stupid because it is not 100% to work each time, I bet the success rate of killing a fish that way on the first slam is very low.

gotta be strong at doing it. Any one hard blow to get it done instantly. If you're not strong enough to do that then try a bat and smash the head.
