mine only hide when im home.. when i come home for work i can see them through the window.. it looks like the most active tank on the planet.. 10 minutes after i walk in the door everyone is hiding till it gets dark out (feeding time)..
i like saturdays.. it catches them off gaurd and they forget im around so i get to watch them...

stupid fish :(

Just get 10 more dats around the same size and you can be sure to have 1 or two swimming around the tank, hopefully more.

Sound advice....
Be patient, as they get used to human traffic in the room.

What I have noticed over the last 2 years : my tigers are most stable and active usually after 10-11 pm at night. This works out well, as I stroll in after a few beverages. The fish display like crazy.:D
Somehow they mysteriously become active after this time!!! They prefer it when the room lights are off and tank light on. And of course , no direct sunlight. Although there is some non-direct sunlight which brightens the room. My tigers seem to realise when it gets darker outside the tank, I think this is why they display the most after10m and onwards.

Very much the opposite of a few years ago, when tank lights would spook my tigers, and they were more active when tank light off with room light on.

I have not usd decor/hidin spaces, for about 15 months now.

Snap:D ... Ceewah, I've no complaints.

mine dont hide at all ... they are always looking at me .. they have some places to hide but after about a week they came out.. they play with the rays and each other most the time .. are also really stable

Here's a tip. If you really want yourtigers to be swimming around, starve them. They tend to swim around and look for food when hungry I guess.

Oh yeah, did I tell you guys my fshes eats off from my hands!! I'm so happy!!
